Title Siege in Fog
On C-drama base there is written it was pushed back to a unknown date. I really wanted to see it... :( I hope…
No, it really aired. The first two episodes are on youtube fortunately :)

The synopsis wrong. Lee sun is Sukjong but he lived his youth in the 1600's.
Maybe they are going to make a fusion thing and don't pay much attention to history (so all this thinking about who is Lee Sun is useless) and make their own twists to the story. In this sense I rather like sageuk such as Six Flying Dragons, Jang Ok Jung or Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People because they follow a little of the history things and we have some certainties :D

I apologise if it sounded like I wanted to teach you something, I didn't intend to. I just wanted to share some information.
After rewatching the first episode and searched some things I am even more confused.
I saw that what you said about King Sukjong's father's birth name is true and that Crown Prince Sado's father's name is Yi Geum while in the drama is Yi Yun. And that Yi Sun is called Wonja (First Son), so it wasn't possible for him to be Crown Prince Sado while it was possible to be King Sukjong (as it was the only son of King Yeongjo).
I didn't know Crown Prince Sado was recorded as a Queen's son, on wikipedia I saw him recoreded as a concubine's son. Now that I think about the latest episodes there is something that happened (after episode 8) - that thing could have happened only with Sukjong. *
I saw Crown Prince Sado's birth name on King Yeongjo's wikipedia page, in the part about his family.
After what you've said and a series of events in the drama I've started to think that Yi Sun is really King Sukjong and just like you it was something I hoped for :)

SPOILER
* Commoner Lee Sun becomes King in stead of the real Crown Prince, so he could never be Crown Prince Sado, but Sukjong - unless the authors have completely changed history, and I don't think so.

The synopsis wrong. Lee sun is Sukjong but he lived his youth in the 1600's.
At the beginning I also thought they had made an error, but after the first episode aired I did some research on wikipedia and I found out this: Sukjong (7 October 1661 – 12 July 1720) was born from King Hyeonjong and Queen Myeongseong while Crown Prince Sado (13 February 1735 – 12 July 1762) was born from King Yeongjo and Royal Noble Consort Yeong. In the fist episode it was clearly said that Crown Prince Yi Sun was born from a concubine (the king named her with the title of Yeong after the birth of the prince), and that he was the only male prince alive (Crown Prince Sado had a bother but he died even before he was born). King Sukjong lived his early years in the second half of the 1600's while Crown Prince Sado in the first years of 1700's. Also Crown Prince Sado e King Sukjong are both named Yi Sun (it can also be spelled Yi Seon). So after all this I can say - if what is write on wikipedia is correct - that in this drama Crown Prince Yi Sun is Crown Prince Sado. I don't know if they will follow the history of not, but Crown Prince Sado's father King Yeongjo wasn't supposed to die yet.
These are the wikipedia links:

I hope I helped you :)

I've really loved this drama from the beginning to the end. If I had knew it was so amazing I would have watched it sooner :)
