I don‘t have the words for it but I think it‘s no coincidence that the book they were talking about is Paul Auster‘s „Ghosts“… the vibes of the story resembles the vibes this show has for me.. somewhat existentialistic..
I’m currently reading the novel Chusan’s Liuyi Children’s Day by She Xie Dian Dian just to satisfy my cravings…
oooh, later on you will scream.. 😌 The novel is so good and the story so satisfyingly complex. I hope the show can maintain its level. until now it‘s soo good and I‘m obsessed, too. 😅
For some this show was boring, for me it was a perfect slowburn with a lot of micro-changes between the lines and one of my favorite JBL. Different people, different tastes. 😊
oh what a strong first episode! the destails! so much details! And so many micro-expressions! And Mix, where were your hands?! And it started messy and will get even messier? I‘m hooked!
My mother had dementia. If you know what this is like and how to deal with people with dementia, you'll recognize the patterns right from the start. Thank you for this heartbreaking love story, embedded in this difficult topic.
I agree with you and I also wanted to add this. For anyone who felt lost after the first episode like I did, don’t…
this is exactly what you wrote for another running series and it fits here as well as there. it feels like these two series could have some plot elements in common..
it has the same vibes and partly the same elements of the plot as another series that is currently airing. I'm curious whether they're telling the same story in a different light, or whether it's something completely different in the end, with only similar vibes.
The author of the novel is a neurologist. after three episodes I think it‘s about dementia or something like that. (just a guess. I want to start reading the novel once the series is finished..)
Is anyone else having issues with the subs for ep 11? I get no subs no matter which language I choose.
on the mobile app everything is fine, on the tv app the english subtitles are missing, all the other languages are there on my tv. (which is more than annoying if you have to rely on the english ones to watch the episode with other people together.)
refuse to believe they're ending the series like this. There HAS to be at least one more special! The sisters have adapted their own novel into a series, their own „baby“, and I can't imagine them cutting out some of the best scenes of the story..
