I guess it's because almost none of us, including you, in this comment section have been 'dedicated fans' of him. And we also have common sense. Even without KSR's incident he's been a weirdo multiple times, but most of us didn't know because to us he was just another Korean actor. But it was his ex fans who remembered those odd stuff that brought those red flags into spotlight. Because they used to like him but now sees the oddities more clearly, unbiased.

You're right, but Weightlifting Fairy is the only exception tbh. And as the actress and he were dating I assume the chemistry was real. But all of his other performances before 2019 except WLFKBJ were either weak or mid. But I still think TLIYE is a good performance, but it's a bit divisive so I understand why you may not like it.

He's also good in The Light in Your Eyes. What I hated of NJH is Bride of Habaek. There's a pre-2019 and 2019/post-2019 NJH. Even though his character in Start Up can be classified as pathetic and polarizing, his performance was still better than his pre-2019 performances.

A year has passed since I first watched this show and it's still amazing. Admittedly, they could have handled the last episode better (I'm not talking about the result of the couple - I liked the way it was handled) because it felt kind of muddy. And if you are debating whether to watch: the show is great. The cast deliver stellar performances, NJH's performance surpasses his pre-2019 weak performances and we can see his growth as an actor. The rest of the cast is also amazing. Especially Tae Ri. Overall this is a fantastic show with a great plot, great cast, great performances and great OSTs.

I feel like that as well. I am in my early 20s and I loved the drama. And they tell you in the first three episodes both directly and indirectly that they won't end up together. But I agree, they could have handled the ending better. The last episode was muddy and weak when compared to the rest. Also this drama made me like Nam Joo Hyuk. Because I remember watching him in Bride of Habaek and being disappointed. But he has improved greatly and he was a contributing factor to what made this show great. If he couldn't keep up with Taeri and the rest, the show would have failed.

Yeah exactly! I think Nam Joo Hyuk was included in that list for a bullying scandal. But most people called it baseless and his career seems to do well, given that most people with bullying scandals f'd up so bad. But I don't trust any celebrity. Personally Joo Hyuk and Park Bo Young are my favourite K actors as I like their acting personally, and they'll continue to be my favs, until they do something evil, that would make it hard for me to separate art from the artist. Not sure why Park Hyung Sik ended up there though. Many people seem to find him okay; (Not that this is an indicator of him being good, but I haven't seen anyone dig dirt on him) and apparently people criticized him for refusing to do a heart sign once lol.

Yeah. Even in that comment section some people are like: "Wow this actress/actor is nice!" And I'm like, how do you know? Just because a random list told you they are nice? Like, I'm sure there are some nice celebrities in this world and the Korean entertainment, but I'm damn sure it's not the majority. And who knows, maybe some of these "rude" celebrities are just people who respect boundaries and don't like weird fantasies of their fans. Or they simply got annoyed once because of one thing and now are painted as villains. But with the way it's going, even if my favourite actor and actress get exposed as big a--holes I wouldn't be surprised. But I sure hope it isn't for something inhumane like KSH here. Otherwise I won't be able to watch SWDBS and WLFKBJ and 2521 again.

I think the issue lies with the fact that because social media platforms exist, people, especially most fans of various Korean entertainers think that they know these actors and idols. It's okay to like someone because you like their work. Heck, there are some actors I like as well. But I don't know who they are personally. Nobody is completely innocent. But there is a line; and KSH has crossed that line. Turning a blind eye towards the immoral acts these entertainers commit just because you like them is abhorrent. Even Kris Wu still has some fans. Like what the heck? This happens with some KDramas as well. People would rate a certain drama 10 out of 10 just because the couple's chemistry is good. At the end of the day though, what we really need to ask ourselves is this: "When shit hit the fan , is you still a fan?" I decided I am not.

The drama had a good plot and a good cast ngl. Might be an unpopular opinion, but Disney Plus stuff is right up my alley. I hope they recast the character with an actor like Lee Joon Gi or Seo In Guk, who are better than KSH.

The number of blind fans who still believe in these inconsistent "official statements" bugs me because if they have a single brain cell, they'd have already understood that one of SK's biggest actors won't admit to grooming a minor and being an Oppaedo. Even today I saw a girl saying he did nothing wrong as according to the statement released, they dated when she was 18. Did KSH have an effin alarm clock set to the exact moment KSR turned 18? Forget KSR for a moment; all of his weird actions and comments towards other child actresses should have been called out way earlier. Many celebrities who were accused of being PDFs were accused because they were odd around children. This is why people called Drake out as well. The entertainment industry reeks of creepy people like this, regardless of the country. As people, we should be mindful enough to have a conscience, which is a hard thing to achieve with this idol worshipping.

I am a guy. Your comment is disgusting. In a "relationship" (if you can even call that) between an adult and a minor, the adult is far more responsible than the child. When you are a teen you are prone to danger, regardless of your gender. And you are also naive as well. When the nation's hottest star tells you that he "loves" you, as a 14-15 year old *child* your naiveness kicks in. You can't blame the victim for that. Do you know why? Because they are a child! Heck, if when I was fifteen, a beautiful actress who is an adult approached me I would have thought she may have really liked me. But as I was nearing adulthood, I realized that this was wrong.
