That's exactly the reason why this ep happened, she should learn. She doesn't know much about the army, she should know about morale, about ration needs, about discipline, about order and proper procedures. How would she become a general without knowing? Also, since she didn't join the army, she can't become a general. But, by learning from her mistakes and watching the army/Xie Zheng, she'll naturally learn how to become a general

FCY really knows nothing about the world and the military. She's used to being like: oh, if I resolve this it's merit. If XZ wasn't there, they would've lost SYQ, and that would've been a HUGE down on the army's morale. XZ wouldn't get away with only 30 strokes. They might've banished her from the army camp. It was bad bad. But it's really cause they were sheltered (they-pig slaughter squad). They dunno a thing about the world, much less about the army.
XZ being punished instead of her makes so much sense. She doesn't know, but the fault lies on him. Whose wife is in the army? The princess is there but she's a doctor, she can make medicine and can analyze patients, what does FCY add? She can fight? Well, yeah, but she'd have to enlist. She didn't. He should've sent her and FCN away when they reunited, this is the proper procedure. He left her without her knowing who he is, now she doesn't know a thing about the army. He definitely should be punished for his negligence.
The way they're building the reveal is amazing. The guilty will be huge and it must be eating him. She wants to protect him, now he made a whole show with a fake Marquis just to hide. She's becoming a laughingstock in the army (for those who know), cause she acts as if YZ is weak and needs protect when he is, in fact, the Marquis himself. It'll be sad when she comes to know, and he definitely should apologize and explain, but she should take some time to think. But the building up is amazing.
Tomorrow is our last day with "Yan Zheng", after tomorrow there will be only Xie Zheng. The drama is still so good even after 25 eps, and from the trailers it'll keep getting better at the peak of this arc (her knowing he's the Marquis). What a blessed drama🙏
