The voice acting comes across a bit overpowering for me.
I sensed it too! I got used to it after a few episodes but sometimes it jumps at me. lol. Sometimes, I would mutter "HMH's voice would not say it that way" . But for the most part, it's pretty close to his voice so I overcame it. Regardless, it's a good show so I will continue.
MDL has been a forum for productive discussions on movies and shows, even allowing concerns addressed in a respectable way. Please leave some integrity for MDL and users who genuinely want to know about the stories, plots, and characters of these dramas.
Here is something that I responded to another user prior, but would like to share here.
It's important to recognize that media often explores complex themes and relationships that can challenge our views and provoke thought. While some may find certain scenes uncomfortable, it’s important to understand that these works are fictional and often serve to spark discussion rather than to endorse specific behaviors.
We must also understand that actors are professionals who portray characters based on scripts and direction. They are not responsible for the moral implications of the stories they tell; rather, they bring characters to life based on the vision of the creators. Many actors take on roles to challenge themselves or to portray complex characters, and their performances can contribute to meaningful conversations about the content. There is more than just a "fine" that the ML will in incur upon retraction of the contract. Unless we are in the industry surrounding the legality of the terms and consequences, we cannot be critical of anyone.
Here's another fact to point out. Different cultures have varied norms and values regarding age. In some Asian cultures, age is counted differently, which can influence perceptions of maturity and appropriateness. In China, and many asian countries, a child is considered 1 year old at birth, making the FL at 18 at filming, not 17 according to western age. Understanding these cultural nuances can provide a broader context for the content, allowing viewers to appreciate the story from a different angle rather than solely through their own cultural lens. Again, these works are fictional and often serve to spark discussion rather than to endorse specific behaviors.
Ultimately, viewers have the power to choose what to watch and how to interpret it.. Engaging with different narratives can promote open-mindedness and understanding. It's possible to appreciate the artistry behind a drama while maintaining personal boundaries regarding what is acceptable or relatable. I'm watching for the story itself and to appreciate the hard work behind this production. This drama and its' final production passed censorship for a reason.
Watching content that challenges us can lead to discussions that are important, so we all appreciate the actual feedback on the show based on plots and characters that can persuade or deter viewers in a productive way. And if a topic is concerning, there are ways to express your thoughts without spouting vulgar that showcases ignorances rather than actual concerns.
Why mydramalist can't restrict or ban accounts with people who don't have respect for others be it account holders,…
The admins are being contacted and we are yet to see any responses. It's out of control. same tantrums from ignorant little brain. Hurts my brain just reading their post.
What's with the all caps? This tantrum is not helping you. Expressing concerns on how the storyline is headed, or how one character looks boring, or how slow or fast paced this show is, are all normal critical reviews for other viewers to takeaway from. MDL is supposed to be the space for that, but apparently we're letting insane trolls on here ranting and defaming actors based on misinformed facts and the lack of awareness on many issues within this industry, I'm tired of explaining to these ignorant comments. Coming here just to vent your anger because you are not happy with your own life needs seeking help beyond this forum. Make a friend or find a hobby, it'll help your mental health.
Hou Minghao is officially announced as HOKA's Brand Spokesperson https://m.weibo.cn/status/5320867871195838
We love HOKA in our household! That is huge. There was some recent pictures of him holding Fendi as well? Was that a new endorsement or just a photoshoot?
Well, hello there. Thanks for your question, it adds to the topic and media trend. The storyline and plot twists…
I watch more Kdramas than Cdramas, but I did like the "Detective Dee" series since you like that genre. There's also "I am nobody" with no romance from what I could recall. Comedy and mystery within the plot and characters. " Novaland : Pearl Eclipse" was one of my favorites in the past with strong character builds. Also, "The Long Ballad" has many beautiful storylines within the drama. Both have some romance, but the storyline captivated me. But if you're into K Dramas, there's plenty that might peak your interest. I gear towards the horror, mystery genres, and anything that doesn't rely heavily on romance. Lately "Teach me a lesson" and "Agent Kim: reactivated" are big hits if you haven't seen those yet. Make use of your free time to relax and hit all the shows! Wishing you the best of luck!

I truly appreciate that! I am the same. Well written lines and characters are very important aspects to a great story. I actually prefer low romance as well. It is a great idea to try everything. Hope you enjoy it!
This is the most fascinating comment section. So polarized! Is the drama worth the hype?
Well, hello there. Thanks for your question, it adds to the topic and media trend.
The storyline and plot twists are intriguing. It is a fast pace drama, so skipping anything equates to missing significant lines that adds to the story. The action scenes are one of the best I've ever seen. Especially when we know that the ML does his own fire stunts. All the actors/actresses are portraying their roles very well. You can actually see key moments that leads to certain characters evolving . So far, it's really good and worth the watch. I even got my sister hooked on it when she rarely watches C drama.
Eu não estou confortável assistindo esse drama. Tento me convencer, mas o conflito interno permanece. O que…

I keep hearing that this drama has a HE but it looks like the opposite with the OST. I sure hope it’s happy. So far the storyline is interesting. I’m waiting for new episodes every day!
This drama is so fast paced! I’m not complaining, it keeps it interesting with all the plot twists. The leads along with the other supporting actors/actresses are portraying their characters so well!
Such a good poster! Love how vibrant it is. The story so far has been exciting and so many plot twists. The OST sang by the male lead is powerful and hints at the unfolding of the tragedies and strength within the story.
