No compromise regarding the "most popular Asian BL" 'title' that you want to sit your ego on. You can stay in your lane with your favorite Thai BL field which you can freely flaunting your ego at, or you can instead making up inaccurate claim which exist due to the fact that you don't regard that there's the existence of over one billion people in certain eastern country, because all the "popularity" in your mind only counting the western target, all because you have ego that your fav BL country finally giving the bare minimum 'unusual' for-its-field concept for "fresh breath of air", the same concept that's already used several times by another countries.

Not really. I find several different hairstyle in other Xianxia drama's Shizun, so it's not an excuse. Plus, Xu Kai in ALP has one different hairstyles with the bang in ALP, so at least his hairstyle isn't being continuously ugly. Xiao Zhan seems has no different hairstyle with the bang in this drama.

Honestly in the trailer it's certainly still looks boxy tho? Whether it's behind the scene leak photos or official photos or the trailer. His wig literally looks like Sun Wukong aka Monkey King hair. So yeah I takes problem with it. I also already seen much worse, but I except a lot for a drama supposedly with S-class production.

Actually the wigs looks a lot WORSE in the trailer than in the poster. You "didn't see anything too wrong with the wig" because you didn't want to merely because it's Xiao Zhan. C-drama male's hairlines are unnatural & looking fake especially compare to their female. It's too boxy even though the actors's hairlines are often more rounded naturally than boxy. Side bangs hairstyle can help smoothing & giving a momentarily illusion to hide the fakeness/unnaturalness. Xiao Zhan's own natural hairlines which is much more rounded than this wig looks much better than this wig's hairlines.

Xiao Zhan's wig is very ugly in this drama. The ugliest I've ever seen which is ironic because this drama is supposedly S-list drama. The costume, mainly Xiao Zhan's costume is very average-looking that the side characters's costume are all better than his. I'm looking forward for his next costume drama than this one. Hopefully he will have actual good long-sleeves clothing + good hairstyle in the next historical drama after he finish shooting his current modern drama.

No. TOOL is a modern drama. The styling is too boring & western-like which the male style totally sucks. Even if he's not starring in BL adaptation anymore whether it's as main character or side character (even though he still wouldn't be starring in BL adaptation regardless if the AO3 incident never happen), he can still starring in dramas with good styling like Till The End Of The Moon or The Seventh Generation or Cang Lan Jue where the male characters styling both in hairstyles & clothing are good. The Longest Promise has average quality clothing with one of the worst wig hairstyles + hairlines I've ever seen on him. I want the stylist to go all out on his visual like every stylist do with Luo Yunxi.

Alan Yu is not enough feminine to be Shi Mei, for my honest opinion.

Gao Han is quite good LMAO I feel that he can pull SM.

Still doesn't mean he should be restricted to be WWX only. I want to see him as characters with actual good full styling with good clothes + good hairstyles. He has yet to have combination of those two.
