Guy just silently admired her. So they separated after graduation hence she met a rich guy who is her boss . There’s a mystery behind him. Anyway it’s beautiful love story. Lusi beautiful crying will be put to good use again…can’t wait ❤️ I feel like there’s 2 equal MLs

did you not read the novel or even translated excerpts from the book ?This is a story about LBY and CSS. I doubt that they can find a 15 year old to portray the complex character of Shashang to give it enough justice for Tencent to waste investors money on a massive big budget S+ production.
just a brief overview, in the novel, LBY is a cold face general who does not even smile or show emotions except when he is around CSS.
Shaoshang is a very petite girl with snow-white skin and white teeth, who is very mischievous and funny inspite of her terrible upbringing.
LBY calls her my little girl, and describes her to be slightly below his shoulder when he first saw her. Shao Shang temperament is comedic and dramatic in the book and ZLS does this very well . Wan Qi Qi is as tall as LBY and she also looks older than Zhao Lusi ~ so does not fit the heroine description. This is an example when being young, cute and petite has it’s rewards.

Yesss. She is esp close with her twin brother. And both her parents were actually supportive and urging her to marry, and they were careful not to open the subject of LBY. She would also visit them.

The difference in the book, her mother Yuan Yi is not cruel, she is strict but their relationship improved. She is doted upon by her brothers and her Dad. Only person she hated the most is her grandmother. Second aunt completely out of the picture. But still she chose to live in the palace to take care of the empress and to escape her family’s empathy with the fall out of her relationship with LBY. Adaptation already made dramatic changes, so never know what we gonna get 🤔

I was disappointed the book ended with no wedding. Like others pointing out, it was described only in the epilogue. Really the the script and director owes us the wedding, esp they already made changes with ML roles that was not in the book, to me to end it with a wedding is a big deal. lol

The book ended with CSS and LBY planning to get married. on epilogue they got married and emperor was still alive then.

If you have the time, it is a very rewarding read. I work full time as a nurse so I am very selective in reading or watching dramas. But this novel help me de-stress. I hope after this series is over I can have my life back. lol

Yes exactly. Just so beautiful and epic. I am looking fwd to buying the straight English translations if there is ever one. Her style of writing is just as beautiful as Shakespeare or Love and prejudice, sooo lyrical, except LLTG plot is a complete package.
