Some gorgeous, artsy visuals.
Film as a whole is certainly an original in many ways, at least to me.
Several aspects of the final few scenes are perplexing and those extended, silent takes while they stared each other down got downright boring.
What's up with the Jolly Green Giant turd?
I saw the blue bag move several times.
Meh. 5.5/10 - C+
Could have done with more Orugi Shun dancing naked in the Red House. Beautiful imagery there.

Insightful review and I agree with most of your take on it.

I don't know what to think about the ending at all, and I'm not going to spend time trying to figure it out because I doubt the director had a specific "ending" in mind anyway.

Beautiful little film.
Love their chemistry combined with their physical differences, especially in that it's the smaller one who holds the power, at least for most of the film.
The narration was so understated and real. Many Korean and Japanese actors have these unbelievably deep and resonant voices that are truly music to my ears. Even the short guy has a rich, full, deep voice.
Asian film has taught me to relax and not need to know everything so quickly; to just sit back and see where things go, and to watch and listen closely.

Everything about this short film is so well done. The actors were impressive. The cinematography and sound very…
I like to think the ending was the beginning of a different ending in the future. My guess is that if the small guy didn't feel the same he would have kept his distance for good. A straight kid doesn't go back to being friends with a gay kid who has confessed to him.

I hope their status as "idols" (though KNK is barely a third-tier presence on the K-Pop scene) doesn't mean these actors and their agency are going to have insisted on playing it safe when it comes to emotional and physical demonstrations of gay love, such as we got with A Shoulder To Cry On. That said, Park Jae Chan fearlessly turned in an outstanding and honest portrayal of his character in Semantic Error, so there is hope.

Looking forward to giving this a try.
