It Seven Tan real voice not sure about rest of the cast member. I agree with with everyone it an slow drama but I don’t thinks it boring.

@Alma I think she is an good person because she doesn’t set out to harm anyone first she only retaliate after what they did to her. Being an good person mean that you don’t set out to harms someone’s first for your own gain that why her character is described as an good person.

@Alma are you aware that you are watching an Fiction drama? Why are you keeps compare yourself to character and what they do that you do or wouldn’t do ? Very characters in dramas don’t always have to be an good person to makes the drama more interesting.

I also recommend Face Off and The Fox’s Summer both are Tan’s modern drama .

The ML in chef Hua is not very good looking but the way his character is written makes it ones of my favorite relationship in drama land. I really enjoy this drama and definitely on the rewatch again lists.

@Xiaoxiao if you like strong &smart FL I highly recommend watching Chef Hua if you haven’t seen it. Of all the drama that I watched it ones of my favorite even tho it not an big drama with will known actors but to me it very will written . The worst things to me in a drama is dumb and naïve FL it so annoying. The same actress in both General’s Lady and Chef Hua but in GL FL character and her maid is so annoying that I stop watching it 10eps in. Unlike you I’m an fan of Seven Tan and she always play strong & smart character in almost all her dramas.

It all good I’m just saying don’t stress out with comparison and enjoy each drama as it own. Actually I have not watch the story of Minglan nor wanting to watch it other then Ash of love I don’t like to watch drama that are more the 50 eps . Too long drama tend to get more boring with unnecessary plots . Also it so worth it to get VIP pass you get to watch it on the hour it air. Try IQIYI app they let you try 1month free before charging and if u don’t like it just cancel end of the month.

@mochachen I also don’t understand why peoples complaining about ML character being too serious don’t they understand the responsibility he have to deal with ? Sometime I think peoples watching an drama don’t really get the back story of what makes the character the way the are. It also would makes no sense if the ML here is portray as an happy easy going guys , he the Male head of the family and an general so of course he have to serious person!

@leli it called Drama for an reason and I think you should stop comparing this drama to Minglan and just enjoy watching it. This drama is called The sword and the brocade not an Story of Minglan remake.

It listed Aired On IQIYI,Youku, Tencent but so far it only on Youku but I think it will be on other site too but just ? Like the sword and the Brocade it premier on Wetv app then a week later it also aired on IQIYI app. Hopefully this drama will to add to site with English Subtitles soon. I’m watching it on YouTube without subtitles and it looks very interesting so far 2Eps in.

Youku have it on there site release date of 3/8 so I think it really the real Premier date.

The trailer looks very interesting hopefully the writers don’t mess it up like a lots drama lately ??, but with only 31eps it not too long.
