I think he did it so he could manipulate her into be willing to stand closer. I think he does like her, but he only knows how to be manipulative and not sincerce. So he is always trying to influence their time together so he can use her as a pawn.

Yeah I've been trying to restart ALP again now and have gotten to episode 11. It doesn't really have the comedy to reel me in so I am waiting for some bigger action stuff to happen there.
