Well it depends on what genre your talking about. TLB is a revenge drama in a historical setting, with a touch of romance, while LLTG is a coming of age story that focuses more on family and eventually romance instead of revenge. It's alright to prefer one other the other, but they are a bit hard to compare since the plot is very different :)
