Depends on who you ask. She is very timid, and doesn't dare to speak up. I find her cute, but a lot of people find that annoying, and the fact that she calls the ml Xiaoyao gege also annoy folks.

Yes seeing him in Shen Li made me more excited for this, I knew of this drama before hand but I found his acting quite good in Shen Li.

Well considering its based on a game, that's how it was written I guess 🙃 Personally I don't mind, I know a lot of shy people. My guess is that it will be part of her character growth, other then coming to terms with her heritage etc.

I find the youku subs on this quite good, as it's manually subbed. They have some ai subs on some shows, but this is quite good. Haven't really noticed any big faults yet.

The two main leads are introduced in the first episode, the rest in ep 3 so you will have some time to get used to them. I liked the first ep, but someone else said they found it a bit slow. So far I think it's a nice story.

Well the emperor does as the emperor wants, he didn't like what grandpa Hua said so he decided to remove the thorn in his side. I imagine there will be an explanation later in the series why the emperor did what he did.

I think he sounds the same as he does in My roommate is a detective tbh, + on dramawiki it doesn't say he is dubbed and they are usually quite good at listing the dubbers for main leads.
