I wanted to believe this, I really wanted to, but I don't think it's the case. Ray takes advantage of the chance Mew has given to him, the chance he's been waiting for so long. Too bad so many hearts will be broken in the process, including Ray's.

Yap, bcs he tries to keep distance. I think something happend in his past (and I can swear Top is involved), bcs he works really hard to maintain a barrier between him and Ray. "No, I don't need a ride" in the morning after, "No, I don't need a ride" after the party, "You know, I don't sleep with same person twice". Something is up here. I think he was hurt and now he is afraid to get involved. I don't think Ray plays with him on purpose. He enjoys Sand's company, but still clings to his sentiments for Mew. I'm sorry for both of them.

I have the same hunch. Was something between Sand and Top in the past. Maybe a mutual ex. In the next ep preview, Top said "it's clear that you just can't take care of what you have" and I don't think he refers to Ray.
