It was beautifully filmed

The bathtub scene with Qi Min and Qianqian was filmed to perfection. It’d have been totally swoon-worthy if QM wasn’t a madman and they were just two normal people in love. Kudos to the director for nailing every scene in this drama.

I just finished the episodes and came to the comments and saw this. wow, people are victim blaming? That’s crazy on so many levels.

With the second couple even though they are hard to ship in the drama people are still very much interested in them. The actors are getting lots of love in china for their portrayal of the characters. Their fan service and offscreen chemistry is also pulling fans in. You see them all over Weibo. They even had their magazine shoot released today which is very rare for a second couple.

The way Qi Min treated Qianqian and their son? It was absolutely vile and despicable! The younger Sui massacring a whole village for some stupid reason and having the nerve to scare and bully a child is just monstrous! This left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m talking brutal, agonizing death wishes for both brothers, and I’m not even kidding. At the end of the day, actions speak louder than aesthetics. Those still hoping for some sort of romantic arc between the couple and some redemption cus of the crazy visuals should honestly stop. It’s time to acknowledge harm and let go of fantasy.
