What is it with girls on these panels? Feel insecure because we’re prettier? What is it with that whenever members of the LBTQ+ community post an opinion that is important to us some woman comes with why don’t you watch gay porn and why don’t y.ou watch western yada yada. Let me tell you why: we like to see our world represented in BL and not women writers’ idea of that world all the time. And as for Western BL they’re ALL about coming out and society’s response to coming out. I watch BL for male-male romance and romance between boys include kissing. Real kissing and not chaste on the cheeks. That’s all. Just a little bit of reality that we gays can recognize.

Nobody is craving porn in BLs. We only crave more than gay-baiting. As the genre is turning more realistic and no longer made only by and for girls and women but also the LGBTQ+ community I think it’s a valid point. Upperlip kissing, endless cheek kisses? You and I know that’s not even close to real life. No I don’t want to watch simulated sex scenes for titillation if they don’t fit the story. And I certainly don’t wish to watch porn.
