Give it a shot - quite unlike other dramas

Very close to the novel indeed .. applause to the entire cast and crew in LBTG. Hope the producers or whoever in charge can see the love for LBTG from international viewers also.

They should quickly have a spin off series in a modern setting.

For me this production and direction is by far the best and with the right actors for the main leads - having read the novel twice - it does justice to the novel.

For me Another awesome episode is ep 23 when HSM became the sovereign in the Void. And how her personality changed overnight - that fighting scene shot beautifully. Quite a heart wrenching scene 😢

It’s a 10 for me also - script, directing, CGI, solid fighting scenes and most of all solid acting from Dilraba and solid chemistry with Arthur and Dilraba.

Great news - I am so proud of them. My favourite C- drama all time.

During promotional event Arthur speaking English is really sexy and Dilraba English is also pretty good. I say they should have a modern drama together.

Yes the drama is faithful to the novel only a few tweaks - Dilraba beauty is acknowledged by coworkers and whoever works with her. Because she has looks and powerful acting skills as evident. In this drama that’s why she is being hated upon.

I know little of Arthur until now. He is a pleasant surprise. He is good - can act. I find both Dilraba and Arthur make an attractive pair and if they can team up in a modern drama that would be a dream team.

HSM was born as a spirit - never understanding what is ALIVE. She didn’t have a choice to begin with to be a sovereign. Her aunt gave her the pearl with the intention that she can get five senses when the right person appears with the deliverance sword. once she gets a taste of it of course she is happy. In the Void she has to be sovereign to maintain law and order to keep peace and safety for the human world .. why she is different in both world has already been explained in the last episodes.

Lol you nailed it - I like this drama cos it has layers and depth to the story which is missing in C-dramas nowadays-like I said everything is pretty much run of the mill formula

That’s what I am curious - it has hit a lot of highs so can’t understand why is it not a success? When He Si mu character ranks top again. Mind boggling to me.

In my opinion the drama is a L ready a success - it hits 27k index garnering attention, if they look at merchandise sales hit that brings more revenue then index which is just a number. This is already a success right? There may be shows that have high index but do they bring in additional sales? Dilraba is versatile actor / this LBTG performance nails the fact that she is on another level already.

Can someone enlighten me - this drama has tie in with many brands and sales have been good - what happens when heat index is high but sakes and reve average so what’s more important ?

I am. Not for run of the mill formula for most Chinese costume dramas be it xianxia or political backdrop story -LBTG is the best drama ever filmed. Good for Dilraba and Arthur and the entire cast and production team. There are many memorable scenes This drama is on a different level already. It would be interesting if they can pair both leads again for a modern drama.
