As far as I know (no garantie on that):
You can get points by contributing, making edits to actor profiles or drama/movie pages or writing reviews. For example, adding missing cast to the cast list, adding the content rating to a title that doesn't have one listed yet, adding the birthday of an actor, etc. You can also get points by adding new titles and people profiles to the site and apparently when you partisipate in forum thread discussions.
