Certainly not the best writing out there. I'm not a fan of how they concluded this drama with the last episode either, but I was entertained and I did like the acting 🤷🏻‍♀️😁

Because per the show she is bound by her past lives and feelings. Everyone is .
True, his situation 600 years ago was very much different from 1000 years ago. My previous comment was more related to how @Robin explained that everyone is bound to past feelings so I thought that if that is the case, than he also should have been bound to his feelings of vengaence towarss Bulgasal in the past.

That is an understable explation to this situation! In that way it makes sense why they introducted the split-soul plotpoint as well! I always thought the split-spuld thing was only there so Eul Tae couldn't kill her, but this makes more sense :)

Ah makes sense! But in that case I don't understand how the detective from 1000 years ago hated Bulgasals, but the one from 600 years later didn't have such a strong feeling. Also with Do Hyun from 1000 years ago didn't seem to like the Bulgasal either, but in present time he had different feelings towards the Bulgasal.

I understand that the situations shaped them to have different feelings, but in that case it should have been true for Human Sang Un as well. And if they were bound to their past feelings, then they should have acted differently in present timelines.

Or maybe I'm just overanalyzing haha :)

Stil haven't moved on from this drama haha. My weekends are going to be empty now. xD

To be very honest, this drama could have been a lootttt better. The premise was nice and the first 2 episodes opened with a bang. Considering this drama was written by the writers of one of my favorite dramas (The Guest) I had very high expectations.

I would have liked it if they had focused more on the past story, the origin of the Bulgasal and those monsters, but they didn't. A lot of this drama was filled with the ML and FL talking about topics they already had spoken about. It didn't feel like those converstation served much purpose. Meanwhile the parts about the monsters and the past were truly interesting. I loved their lovestory of the past as well.

I also feel like a lot of things are left unexplained.

They did really well on creating an in depth villain. It feels like they put all their writing-effort in his character and Lee Joon's acting made it even better. Not that the other members of the cast didn't do well. They were amazing, but their characters felt so flat compared to the villain that no amount of good acting could make them seem better.

Another thing that was nice was the 'Found Family' trope they added to this. It was wholesome. Because of this I had a different ending in mind than what was served. The ending was a bit Meh to me.

However, I personally was very invested in
this drama! I think I haven't been this emotionally invested in an ongoing K-Drama for a long time Every Saturday and Sunday I was waiting for the moment it would be released with the subs. I loved the vibes this drama gave me. I have no other way of explaining it hahah. I was just in love despite its faults. So because of my personal enjoyment I rated this drama very generously high <3

P.s. What was Human Sang Un's deal with her 'Mama I'm in love with a criminal' mindset? xD
(Okay, not exactly criminal, but you know, a man who litterly wants to kill you)
I understand that Bulgasal Sang Un loved him in the past, but really what was the deal with Human Sang Un?

Not that I have anything against Hwal x Human Sang Un in the present times, but have a hard time understanding how she fell for him during the time he still was mean and trying to kill her. He looks very hot though, but that still shouldn't make her fall in love with someone like that right?

To be honest, I don't think she killed his family in the past. I've a feeling that it was Ok Eul Tae and tha the is trying to trick Hwal into destroying her.

Action-packed drama with a stellar cast. Conflicted about how I should rate this. The start was totally up my alley, but the last 4 episodes weren't.

I don't like how Z-0 turned out it the end. It was a big contrast with who he was before. I do understand he wanted to make a world where his daughter could live freely, but I don't agree with his solution to just make more people like them. This drama should have ended at episode 8 or episode 10. Episode 8 was the highlight afterwards everything went down.

When he joined the cult I hoped he had a bigger plan to save his family. I didn't expect him to actually agree with crazy Ryu's views.

Suprise, suprise Gu Reum didn't die of a head injury, but a gunshot.

It would be cool to have a spin off movie about their daughter's life though.

So Z-0 is going full on cult in order to protect his family.

After all they have been through Gu Reum has decided to abandon Z-0. She should know that this organization is very good at making lies seem believable. I understand she must be afraid, but still.

Yeah, I really lost all hope for a happy ending. :'(

Nice to have a sweet episode for a change! The attraction between them was evident from the start, but I didn't think they actually would have their sweet romance time. This romantic episode was well executed.

But ofcourse it was a silence before the storm. Don't know if I'll be able to handle a sad ending. I really wish for Z-0 and Gu Reum to live happily with their baby in the end.

Righttt he was odd from the beginning, acting all warm and kind so quickly... it never sat right with me, but…
Exactly! My heart dropped. Especially when Gu Rum cried because of the shock.

So far, so good. Hope they keep going like this!

And the acting when his spinal fluid got drained. I felt that! The trauma and pain felt so real. I cried :'(
