Not a very big fan of thai BLs - although I've watched a few of the big ones of course :3. Have seen the Taiwanese ones although I haven't seen History 5 yet bc I haven't heard a lot of good reviews 🙈. The japanese ones I have all seen except Taikan Yoho - kinda scared of the ML? - is it as toxic as the people make it out to be or are they overexaggerating? Because I can work with toxic behaviour up to a certain point but not beyond. xD

Aaah now I get it! 😋 Yeah, that's fine for me. I like both, simple plots and deeper ones. I'm just looking for some good BLs with happy endings...and nothing toooo depressing. But I feel like I've seen so many of the good ones already 😭🙈. Always open for some suggestions if you have any. Maybe I haven't seen it all after all 🥲. I most enjoy office romances or at least romance between adults or older looking students. For example I enjoyed Utsukushii Kare although they were younger at first. I loved Old fashion cupcakes 😊
Alright, here comes my opinion on this :P. I read the manhwa and liked the manhwa, so I already somewhat knew what to expect and am probably a bit biased but these are just some thoughts.
For me personally, Yechan was perfectly adapted from the manhwa to the show...sadly (but that's just personal taste I think) for me it just didn't work as well as in the manhwa because he was just extremely child-like and almost appeared a bit dumb. This was cute in the manhwa but on TV just kinda weird with time. I just wish we had gotten more of his serious/more mature side, although it probably wouldn't have fit the story. Another thing that didn't translate well was the mental state of Yul and his feelings in general. We didn't really get to see a lot of it through the series in my opinion.
But other than that and all in all I would say it was a cute short watch. :)
Oh and one last thing: To be honest I expected a dead-fish-kiss from the series because of the vibe. Didn't expect what we got and was positively surprised :3
Just watched it for a second time: It is definitely very fast paced...almost....almost rushed. But it's really good and worth it in my opinion if you're looking for something cute and short :)
Hi! Question! Can someone tell me if this is worth it? Like - 10 episodes is already hard to portray 1 couple...but 3? Is one couple the main couple and the other only background noise? Or how does this work :o?
I totally understand the people who say that a good BL doesn't need a kiss scene to be good. Like I get it...but then again I don't. I've almost never seen a straight romance movie or series where the leads did not kiss. So, I wonder, why it isn't normalized more to show more skinship in BLs. Not talking about explicit explicit stuff....just things we'd expect from any other romance movie/series too...
Was I bored 80% of the whole show? - yes. Did it lack a plot? - yes. Did the story focus on the wrong things and introduce unnecessary stuff? -yes. Did I still enjoy it? - yes. Why? - Because of the cute moments in between which make the other 20% worth it and not to mention these kisses <3.

It's funny how people come here in 2023 to hate on this BL: Was is perfect? - no. Was it toxic? - yes. But in 2019 it was one of the best BLs out there. I'm happy that more money and more time is spent on high-quality BLs now . But let's not forget that that wasn't always the case. Fans of the "genre" had to dig deep to get good BL series (not saying TharnType was the only good out there!!). It's always easy to judge after years have passed. (just my opinion though)
Okey...when people said it was graphic and basically porn, I was like: Interesting, a series where they also show some sex scenes. But damn was I wrong. xD That really IS porn with some kind of plot sprinkled in between. xD why is this even on kisskh? haha
