I really really struggled. Barely made it through episode 1 and have never watched the rest. I can usually watch pretty much anything and I was so intrigued by the storyline but the PACE was just.so.slowwwwwwww. It lost my attention and I tried to keep focused but failed 😢
I will start with - I loved this show. (and this is a massive spoiler - you’ve pressed the button at your own judgement 😂!)
However, if I ever rewatch it (which I will) I will stop half way through episode 12.
I do not think that this show and this storyline needed Day to get his vision back to make it a happy ending.
I completely understand that his lack of vision was always mentioned as temporary (until the first failed op) but I feel like the voice of this entire show has been about empowering the idea that you can be happy without sight and that a second chance at a different type of life is powerful. I felt like the writers lost their vision and panicked that we would get upset if he didn’t get it back so they added it last minute.
If the show had been different, I may have felt different about the ending but because I took from it that anyone can be happy no matter their barriers and that life is as beautiful as you make it (no beaut twilight scenes happened IRL, but they imagined they were there!) then him gaining his sight at the end damaged that message a bit.
So, I still love it but I don’t think he should have regained his sight.
Well, holy sh1t. I do not think I have ever cried when watching a BL! This has easily sky-rocketed into my top 3 of all time. It is perfect. If this show and all the actors don’t get the recognition they deserve - I will riot!
300,000 Baht IS way too much. Sorry but the Dad was right to assume it was a scam although he should have spoken…
Agreed it is a ridiculous amount so we can see why the dad is concerned- but Prem did explicitly say “that’s too much” and tried to give it back like 3 times. 😂
But obviously the Dad doesn’t know this - like you said, he went straight to Prem instead of discussing it with his son!
so its just... accepted that boston is an ultimate villain? that he gets told to stay alone forever despite literally…
100% agree. They did Ton dirty and wasted an opportunity to represent different relationship styles! He isn’t a bad guy - he just likes sex and sees it very separated from love. He needs an open relationship with someone who understands that - which is not Nick but I didn’t like the whole “Oh just go and be alone forever - it’s what you want”. Poor Ton.
Hoping for a season 2 where he gets his version of a HEA! ⭐️
I pray to the BL gods that they do a season 2 of this. It may never happen but I can hope! I have adored this messy, real and drama-ridden show!
I am annoyed about Ton’s ending. I accept that Mew doesn’t want to be friends anymore but I can’t accept “Oh, you’re just meant to be alone forever.” That is BS. I know Nick couldn’t deal with an open relationship but there was such a chance to show a different version of relationships here - one where he isn’t a bad guy and sex is just sex and his “sweet moments” are saved for his boyfriend 🤷🏼♀️.
I loved Mix’s little cameo - saying the exact words that Top said to Mew in ep 1 😂
Going to miss this little rollercoaster of a show!
YASSSSSSS! I have re-watched the Japanese version 3 times. I love it. Easy, fun, silly watch. I feel like GeminiForth are definitely the best fit for these roles out of the current BL “popular” couples/ships. I think they’ll do great. Looks like it will be just as over-the-top and silly manga style so I am in!
NC scene - 5⭐️ - the emotions, the editing - all great. The rest of this ep? 😩 - 2⭐️ might be kind. They need to do some more spoken reasoning aboit WHY spoiling the wedding is actually supposed to help? Why is Diao even contemplating leaving the man he loves? Makes no sense.
I shall continue becuase their chemistry is 🔥 and I assume that all will be well in the end 😂
lol 😆 now tell us what you think of ep 8? how did it make you feel? 🤭
Isn’t it already set that he has memory issues? In the first scene of ep 1, he had a notebook full of reminders and was told repeatedly “remember to take this turn” etc. It doesn’t specify WHAT memory issues he has (long term/short term etc) but I bet anything he loses his memory of how he ended up in prison (and probably Rui) and then we either get happy ending and he remembers him or a MODC sad ending and he never does!)
However - I agree!
However, if I ever rewatch it (which I will) I will stop half way through episode 12.
