What you said made me completely lose motivation to watch this drama. If the ending is terrible like that, I guess I will just skip this drama. I really wanna watch Oho Ou as a male lead after watching him in My Dear Guardian. It sucks that open endings ruin most good Chinese dramas.

Does this drama focus more on politics or romance?

Cool. I thought director was Zhao Li Jun who directed Dream of Chang An? So, it isn't the case. According to all appearances, that female director is pretty intresting. It will be so good to see Yuan Bingyan as a badass than a normal naive heroine.

I get the feeling that this will be my very first asian series where I root for the second male lead than the main male lead. Hope filming will be done sooner.

This drama stands out among the low-budget dramas. The plot is pretty juicy and the main leads have amazing chemistry. My heart beats faster whenever Li Teng and Nian Chu are being lovey-dovey. So cute. Hope the news for season 2 will be confirmed soon with the original cast.

I heard episode 31 has an alternative ending. Can I just skip episode 30 and watch ep 31 or watch ep 30 first then go to 31?

Ikr. PP did a very fast subbing on L&R so I had high hopes when they picked up this drama. I thought I wouldn't have to wait very long for the new episodes. But they've uploaded ep 12 today. Have you seen it? For me, I've completed the drama. I can't speak Chinese either but I'm used to listening to Chinese speakers and can understand some of what they say by dint of years of watching C-dramas. So it was not a problem for me to watch raws unless there are many complicated terms.

I feel you. I don't know why PP is being slow subbing this project. I guess they have been pretty busy these days. Though I really want to watch it with good-quality subs, I couldn't wait any longer to watch the rest. I'm just going to watch raws now.

Oh. I dropped it after episode 4 as the story was not compelling for me to continue putting up with the female lead before her character development. I don't think I'll pick it up again. But thanks for your suggestion. Good for you that you like it.
