Well, what happened is that old man and his driver are in a secret relationship and he was asking him to sit on the front part of the car. The old lady that works for FL can read the lips so she gessed what was going on, and if you remember the Fl had collect some letters from the trash, those were letter send between them. So basicly she tratened him so that way she became the homeroon teacher of the kid. The name was on te letters and when she knew the name of the driver she realised it was his partner. At least that´s what I understood from that scene. I may be wrong too.
