Mu guang was already a god soon after Gu Jun. he became the next got of moon and stars. wu huan framed tianqi for killing yuemi which lead to bai jue to kill him faster.
I don't know how they simply became heaven lord and empress (wu huan and that boy)?? 😂
Because they were sent down by Zi Yang before the war started. and they are the only surviving gods. Gu Jun is at the same level as them, but choses not to interfere (shang gu tells later on) in the conflicts, as he is originally a demon (not devil) before becoming a god.
