I love, love to read and have found that very few dramas/movies can truly bring a book to life. I have a simple rule, If a drama/movie that is based on a novel deviates from the novel in a major way, as this one is rumoured to be, I read the novel and forego the drama as I will in this case.
To be honest I look for love scenes in BL dramas. But since Addicted bl novels are made into bromance not BL, for the love scenes you get it in the novels. If you watched the drama carefully, their relationship was simply beautiful. What I loved the best was the no need for words, just a look and they understood each other. LWJ spoiled WWX so badly it had to be love.

Amen. one of my favorite shows. Most people saw only one thing and lose all the little bits along the way. One of the extra episode simply showed how much Yang Fei missed Haiqing.

CONTAINS SPOILERS...... Also loved it..some people saw the drama but did not see it. Most hated it because of the infidelity. What's to hate?, people cheat so what is the shock? What I saw was how two people that were meant to be together met,separated, never forgot each other and then met again. Jimmy cheated all the time and Yang Fei accepted his stepping out of the relationship. YF asked Jimmy several times to break up and Jimmy refused. People placed Pinjun on a pedestal as such a nice guy. But what I saw was Pinjun bum rushing a depressed and ultra sensitive Haiqing, into a relationship. Maybe I love it because I believe in the concept was is to be will be and that there is no randomness just cause and effect. I love the show because it was very explicit in its portrayal of the difference between love in some of its form and just sex. Maybe I saw a different show. I always suggest that people rewatch the show and stop acting as though jimmy had the right to cheat and Yan Fei did not and that it was okay for Pinjun to take advantage of Haiqinq. At the end H was willing to stay with Pinjin but P refused him and thanked YF for allowing him to love H for the year. Even in his pain he accepted that YF and H loved each other and whatever H felt for him was not the love H felt for YF, he also realized the year he spent with H only happened because H and YF lost touch. I truely love the drama.
