The families whom I feel like I'll keep in my heart forever. I feel like a piece of this drama is locked within my heart eternally. It represents a within a special moment in time that we know we simply can never get back. Our nostalgic childhood 🤍

You probably have read about the "cryonics" case of parents from a country in Asia using cryonics on their child's body. You can Google it, it's a pretty well covered story.

This show gave me a new appreciation of slow burners - and zombie movies! Will definitely watch it again after a couple of years. I love the strong female lead and I appreciate the strength of the male lead. Park Hyung Sik definitely buffed up for this one, and his weight gain added to his presence in the scenes. Im so glad I came across this show! And I just love the posters!!

Well I personally think we need to grow out of the unrealistic outcomes that we want to see because in the real…
Hmmm yeah, in the end, your point about being able to move on regardless of how the revenge outcome turns out, is the best way to end things.

Hhmmm okay, I get your point about approaching revenge from a new, "healthier" perspective. I am also glad she did not get any blood on her hands too. But like I said, I don't think the villains getting killed, whether by the FL or others, is the way to go - - because 1) they never got to fully reach a point where they thought "ah this is really bad, and now I see how much pain I caused others" and then even apologize. Even till their last seconds of life/before public reveal they were still committing evil acts or trying to cover up. The script gave them so much dominance and power even till the end.

2) Part 2 does not live up to the hype and teasing given by part 1. I guess I just wish part 1 did not set us up so much, and build up so much expectations only to give a part 2 that went for the "healthier" revenge. This is where I would remove 1 star from storytelling and script. And when the FL was planning her revenge whether in part 1 or 2, she did not ever really play into the whole idea of a "healthier", less toxic and less dramatic revenge. The story really unnecessarily pumped her up psychologically for years, only to give a lackluster show of "justice". I get what you said about accepting how things happen in the real world, but this is a fictional series that showed many ways in which it is a fictional series in part 1.
On The Glory Part 2 Mar 25, 2023
I feel like part 1 set us up really well and made it seem like their would be a long, well drawn out and elaborately satisfying revenge. Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun kept on hinting at what she would do, however; I don't feel like part 2 lived up to the hype of part 1.
Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun was absolutely tortured during her younger days, so I feel like the perpetrators did not receive the same amount of punishment. Even ruining their careers, public image is not effective because they could easily get it back with some money, influence and connections which they all have. I feel like the perpetrators did not feel the same pain as Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun. Tbh, the deaths of some of the perpetrators meant that they could never fully repent and atone for their harm done to others, so I feel like that punishment was an easy way out for them.
Otherwise, brilliant acting from all the cast, they really made you emotionally invested in the story and in seeing justice prevail.

just finished the first episode, what the fuck is going on??
If you guys watch further, you'll become hooked with the better pacing and strong plot revelations!
On Let Me Introduce Her Aug 6, 2018
Very good show, keeps me guessing and on the edge of my seat!! I like the contrast between the two male leads, and the strong character of the female lead. Usually female leads are presented as weak twigs who break apart at every plot point without standing up for themselves.

Also I like the subtle but growing romance between the main leads, and the supporting characters all do their job so well, even to the point of hating them eg the main housekeeper with her own deadly motives.

Not usually in to thrillers, but this one is lighter and nicely done. Captivating pace is a plus that keeps me hooked!

I find chemistry between leads often too subjective to argue about. I enjoyed the last two on this list immensely,…
I can totally relate to this comment lol. Absolutely hated Secret Garden... and I loved Boys Over Flowers but now looking back I see how rudimentary and silly it was, its plagued with cliches that have started to annoy me. But it will always have a special place in my heart!
Ambitious_96 Jul 17, 2016
For me its Secret Garden..... I absolutely cringe even at the thought of that show. Its just terrible, slow, gloomy, uninspiring romance with a stupid repetitive excuse of a plot. The worst I've ever had the displeasure of viewing, and I've watched a few dramas that I wasn't madly in love with but I always focused on their good points to keep me going.

The Master's Sun is one of my all time favourite shows!!! Anyway guess we all have different tastes, its okay :)

This show had SO MUCH BUZZ around it that it ended up being my very first Korean drama, will always be so grateful to this show for introducing me to one of the loves of my life: Korean Dramas.
Of course now looking back to when I first watched it in 2013, I totally get the criticism its receiving. I, like many, was sucked into the rich guy with a mean, self-entitled attitude problem stemming from years of studying abroad and having everything handed to him, except of course what he really yearns for: Love and acceptance from his unforgiving family members.

Then there's the hardworking girl with a pitiful life who cannot see that the male lead loves her for such a long time, you will find yourself screaming at the screen during the first half.

But I still immensely enjoyed this drama, it was my first, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. ♥

Love is the MOMEEEEEEEEEENT!!!!! Lol this song will never leave you no matter how hard you try!
On She Was Pretty Jul 11, 2016
I had a good time watching this show *when I wasn't skipping the middle parts* Lol like everyone else has said, they're wasn't enough interesting story for a full 16 episodes, so I skipped from episode 6ish until maybe the final 5 episodes? But brilliant chemistry between the actors and most importantly a really powerful underlying message that the one we are meant to be with will love us no matter what.

I recommend She Was Pretty and will never forget this drama and what it taught me,especially because the female lead is SO RELATEABLE to young woman everywhere!!

Ps- am I the only one who got annoyed by the 2nd male lead? The one who really liked the female lead? I found him and his antics so annoying.

I honesty for the most part enjoyed this drama, especially because I watched it when I was still relatively new to the exciting world of Kdramas and so because I hadn't seen much, I was able to easily brush over its flaws and just enjoy it. I loved the innate selfishness of the male lead, I found it very realistic and thus intriguing amongst the often clichéd story lines.

All in all a decent drama, I would recommend.

Horrible cliché story ... Why is Kdrama doing this? o_O
"like you're attending a meeting without an agenda" Lol really good summary of the non -existent plot, still highly rate DOTS though because it has a lot of refreshing qualities that other Kdramas have failed to bring to the table.

i think im the only one who dropped this at 12th episode :s
Lol love your honesty, I carried it through because it had so many excellent qualities that I have never seen in other dramas but I understand why people dropped it because of the crazy unrealistic plot holes

It's true... You can't move on to another drama after watching this... I can totally understand those who may…
Aysha we watched it just like you did.... and I think I can speak for everyone when I say yes we did ENJOY it.... but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its flaws, it had an incredible amount of plot holes, very unrealistic plot holes, because of a lack of an actual plot that could carry it through to the end. But of course I agree with you that its successful and deserves all its success because it really is brilliantly different from other dramas. But still, I could watch this 5 times and still not be able to give you a story line.
