Regarding the ending, were the writers just trying to make it easy for the viewers to not walk away with broken hearts? Is it one of these open endings that is up for the viewer to decide (even though we know their tragic fate really happened)
Have some questions... Why was the Immortal Master so into Princess Shunde? Did she remind him of his past woman? Also, when exactly did Chang Yi realize he wasn't betrayed?
Does the FL's best friend eventually betray her at some point? I noticed a look of jealousy over the Emperor showing Wu attention, and thought, oh no, here I thought they would be besties throughout the drama but that look was foreboding.
Can someone tell me if the FL betrays the ML? I don't really care for betrayal themes in dramas and I don't want to get hooked on this if she "throws away" the merman. Also, is there a happpy ending or sad one?
This drama is fantastic!!! Future viewers, don't listen to the naysayers below, this is an excellent drama. Is the ML's voice dubbed?? IDK, but I don't care because the story is so good, and the writing is amazing. There are so many characters that just grab you and make you care for them. I am so glad I watched this and plan to rewatch again. Jeremy is becoming on of my favs and I look forward to his future projects.
