Based on first 8ep, some really fine acting from both leads and good pace of intriguing storytelling so far.. I usually do not watch period dramas but this one is totally binge worthy.. For me, this is the best performance of YANG MI in whatever I have seen her..
Honestly I enjoyed all the mother scenes... Her taking care of YZM, missing her family and especially her saving…
Yeah, some of their scenes are hilarious, and from previews it seems like ml is going to have a really good bond with her.. Especially because he never had anyone like her fawning over him😅😂

Mother is extremely greedy and selfish, and she has even more screen presence than leads combined, many other similarly irritating characters like ex bf , his sister.. You need patience in fast forwarding.. Silver lining is leads are really good and have awesome chemistry..
Decent episodes today, but this Mao and zao romance drama is irritating me now, plenty of time is consumed by mom's antics and some side characters leaving very little space for couple.. And from the previews of next episodes, it looks like they will start another extra drama with mao's kid and husband 😅
