Because words like "overhyped!" And "overrated!" make people decide whether a drama is good or not and most people use the word hyped or over-rated on any drama which i dont believe its possible for korean dramas because they have little audiance like what 20 - 30 million people watch it? How can we decide if its hyped or not.
While movies like titanic and avatar still play on tv and cinemas as classic night.
This drama is not over rated or overhyped if i go out of my house now and tell my neighbor " hey neighbor did you see how cute park bo young was in yesterdays episode?!" My neighbor would say " get the hell off my property you asshole"
Because he wouldnt know what the hell im talking about.
But if i tell him yo you remember tom hanks in forrest gump; he'll tell me "life is like a box of chocolates"
Its us the viewers who type random comments about hype and no hype simply because we dont get why people like a drama we dont like.

I also think chicken is overhyped many people eat chicken but im alergic

Over million times still a classic.

This is the most realistic drama on earth. If you cant figure out why he said that to a complete stranger from the getgo then just drop this drama because its for viewers who enjoy and understand human relations beyond the dramatic effects of OSTs, sound effects and cliches. Its strength is dialogue, facial expressions and mainly the lack of human interaction between the characters that leads to the most beautiful awkward moments between the leads.

We got the rich handsome CEO of a gaming company that can help her create her superhero costume and we got the annoying cop who wants to solve the crimes but the superhero beats him to it. Ironically the super hero is his childhood crush. If they just took this approach and made it more superhero oriented with cute romance it would have been better.

And then pause the commercial and type some cheesy thing like dont judge the book by its cover. The lady in the commercial doing the theory is Seul gi
