Well just because they was in heaven doesn't make them immortal. Remember all the people there had protection from emperor except XJ and SF. And XJ didn't need any protection layer to stay alive cause She had her power awaken and SF didn't need it too since he is a golden red winged tribe bird they are technically mortals. Bailin died and just directly returned to his position. But when SF died heavenly emperor was helpless he never said he is gonna reincarnate or something he just only said he is helpless implying the death of SF and he can't reverse it. He only came back to life cause of LHJD heart. That's what I think

Let's hope it will get above 9.2

But bailin's case is different I don't think he give up his Celestial body to go into mortal realm and that scene where SF dying and LHJD giving his heart to SF in that scene he was really dead and nothing happened I mean as soon as Hoa Chen died he was back as Bailin in Heavenly realm and SF was really dead nothing happened Xi Xuan didn't came back and remember even heavenly emperor said I of course hope nothing happens to him he is my son but I can't do anything. if he was gonna die and come back heavenly emperor wouldn't have said that he might have said he will come back soon or something cause heavenly emperor character in L&R is Direct to the point without beating around bushes so SF was really dead at that time. he only survived cause of LHJD's heart again it's my opinion correct me if am wrong

When heavenly emperor asked XJ if she likes mortal life although she didn't answer it's obvious that she remained being a mortal. It's their 10th lifetime ( 10 tribulation) so after they die they should be back to Being immortals but remember they said SF sacrificed his immortal body to go through 10 tribulations with XJ and Heavenly emperor did said it takes 10000 years to get back the immortal body so I don't think they will go back to Being immortal since it's been only 1000 years - 10 tribulations he will not get back his body without cultivating 10000 years I think . Just my thoughts correct me if am wrong what's everyone's thoughts on this matter
