I converted my cousin into k-drama recently :) I was watching What's up and she was like: OHhh their language is very weird and how can u understand this? Then, Daesung gave this amazing performance and my cousin and I were squealing. 4 episodes after that, and the girl was doomed to love k-drama forever ;)
I only agree that missing you is a disaster I didn't watch playful kiss or big but I do like faith and love nice…
LOL I love LMH myself, if you don't believe me go check my profile and I liked both Faith and Nice Guy :) But truth be told, all of these have their flaws and my Brain is not very nice. He tends to be a very grumpy critic.
My Sincerest apologies if my Brain have offended u Nayosh :) Don't listen to him, I personally ignore him all the time :P
Did you really just compare Faith to Playful Kiss
rlly
srsly
It's okay I would probably have the same reaction if I were u :)

Oh, I was introduced to k-drama in 2006 but I only watched like one or 2 dramas a year. My addiction phase started in August 2011 when I started to stream my own dramas online.
I'm a person who likes movies in general but for some reason, I can't warm up to Asian-movies. I always find them... lacking. Perhaps I'm watching all the wrong movies. But till now, I prefer dramas and I think they're better executed than movies.
I only watched Hana Yori Dango and was appalled at the change of Sakurako. Actually, I've watched the k-version before so I know she's mean, but man the girl was a complete psycho >.< with the crazy cartoonish laugh and all => and I hate that they didn't get rid of her completely like the k-version (-_-;)

My advice is to do what I was planning to do: read the recaps of the children part and immediately watch the adults part. I didn't watch the drama, but I'm sure you won't miss a lot because it's slow-paced and I figured the whole story of what's going to happen in the first 5 min of the show :P so, you can always know what has happened. Don't put yourself through the children's part if it's not entertaining u.

Actually, I read that the ending of Faith wasn't written this way: there was in the original script a very HOT scene in the end but they decided NOT to film it on location because they didn't have time (-_-). As for Baker King, I tried to watch for Joo Won's sake once and I couldn't get pass ep1. After I discovered Shi Yoon, I tried again and dropped it again.

I liked Faith too: it had a great concept it's my mind who couldn't shut up: he kept finding flaws. Actually, Faith had all the qualities to be a great drama but the writer and director decided to wreck it all. As for Shi Yoon, I think he wouldn't show up for quite a while.

Oh, thanks for the recommendation Miyuki. You're very sweet :) Actually, both are on PTW list. I wanted to watch Nine but because it seemed like a melo (and am really depressed as I am), I decided to try it later. Can you spoil me and tell me whether it's a happy, sad, or open ending?
