You know it's bad when one feels embarrassed for an actor she doesn't even like.
On a different note, I do like those cheap plastic blades. They match the female lead's tears and they don't look harmful. Phew! It's good to know female lead can hug him without getting holes in her dress (I don't know about her heart though :P)
The most pressing question remains, how can sprouting blades out of your body become a super power? Sure it makes you climb buildings but it also makes you look like a freak!
K-version would be:
A cold zillionaire with a heart of gold who happens to be a genius would get tangled in Liar Games to save the life of a silly but angelic girl. Along the way, his scars would be healed by the miracle of her pure love and honesty. Spurred by an inexplicable need to protect her, he makes it his mission to help her win loads of money in the Liar Games tournament. After all, momy dearest would only bless their marriage if she were loaded rich. My guess momy dearest would send her henchmen to participate in the game too and his evil ex-fiancee wouldn't mind lying her way to win his heart back..Add a gentle guy always smiling for no reason to the mix, and let The Love-Liar Games begin!
Edit: Okay so maybe it wouldn't be Love Lying Games if TvN and the writer of TBD&W would handle this!
I have to agree on everything:
Faith triggered my multiple personality disorder too *lol*. I hated it and liked it at the same time. One moment it's awesome the other it's a train-wreck.
For most of the time, I slept like a baby while watching TWTWB. I would stir awake sometimes (that song about love and snow was too loud) and through my half-closed eyes, I would see the OTP's beautiful faces in a snow covered landscape doing nothing so I go back to my sweet sleep.
It took me 4 episodes to get the faintest interest in Cruel City, 10 episodes to understand who the hell is everyone, and another 5 episodes to get the *I-need-to-watch-the-next-ep-NOW* feel. But as you said, there was Paksa, the greatest gangster in the history of SK gangsters, and I didn't mind watching him while waiting for the story to happen :D
If i was an actor/actress, would I feel proud to receive the 'most popular' award? I think the subtext to this…
Well, the popularity award might say: "your acting is quite mediocre but congrats people like your face. You'll be showered with commercial and sponsoring contracts.Your acting might be Blah but you'll make a fortune out of it."
Okay. I haven't seen him before but the guy looks promising. Thanks for writing the article :) Perhaps I should add Warrior Baek Dong Soo to my to watch list.
It's funny I always thought the *real* love triangle in most K-dramas is Main Lead- Female Viewers- Second Lead! Let's be honest here, the second lead doesn't have a chance of a snowflake in hell in 90% of the cases. The female lead mostly chooses her guy from the beginning and there's no confusion in that area. It's the females viewers who hold on sinking ships for the love of hapless second leads.
I appreciate second leads who who exist for reasons other than wooing the female lead and contribute to the narrative. If they must woo her, I wish that someone would write a second who gets a real chance and make the lady confused and flustered. It'd be better than reusing the old worn out formula :)
What a nice article. Actually, my mom is a hardcore drama fan *Sometimes she scares me*'. I enjoy watching dramas with her nevertheless.
I love that you added In Jae to the list. She's one of my all time favorite characters. I can also add the queen in King 2 Hearts, Han Gyul's mom from Coffee Prince (such a sweet lady) and Park Bok Ja from Ojakgyo brothers (I know the lady did all sort of things but no one can deny her strong motherly affections.)
Totally agree with Chisato, and that's not just because she's the only character I recognize from this list. I…
I second the queen from King 2 Hearts. Awesome mom.

Nice, I just added the drama cause I liked its synopsis. Anyways, thanks for your comment I did some search. It's available on dramafever which doesn't work in my country (-_-)! I found links to download it here:
I've never downloaded dramas before so I'm not sure how this works.
As for So Hyun. Yeah. If you don't mind me spoiling you, she pretty much tried to strangle someone to death because she believed said-someone might be behind the kidnapping of her daughter. The show however never addressed the issue. I think it would have been interesting if they posed the question how much is too much? and so on.

I might go with Ari-Lee's pick since I like book and she picked QIHM in the previous article :D

*fangirl mode on*
It's not fair but it's the way the things work!
*lol* I can see you evilly smirking at LBY, Cheer!
Why didn't you include where we can watch them? You're not being a good drug-dealer :P
