I think it's one of those series that should have been 12 episodes instead of 16. It has to fill the time somehow, and the episodes are longer than an hour.
I think most (not all) of the "overrated" comments are made by people who saw the 9.2 rating and be like Wow! This show must be a masterpiece. So they started it with over the top expectations.
For us, people who started watching while it was airing, we didn't expect anything. We just loved the chemistry between the leads and how expressive both of them are. We gradually fell in love with Taeseong, In Hyuk, Eclipse, their families, etc.
Viewers who binge it, may not find the charm we experienced. And that's okay. Try to lower your expectations and just enjoy this fluffy drama 🤍
