I have read another theory that Bingyi used to be a Dragon God and he and the Nuwa goddess are from the same realm, later on something happened and he became a demon. After he sealed part of yingLong's soul and asked Nuwa goddess to make him mortal. The Nuwa goddess didn't just made him mortal but she took his memories as a demon as well hoping he can move on. So mortal Bingyi never remember him being a demon or YingLong and that's why everyone in the mortal world thinks he was only a Dragon God and he was never a demon because that's all he could remember.
