I think it's coz in season 2 no one wanted to be funny.

And season 3 only kwangsoo took the role to be funny. Everything felt forced - I agree.
That only 3 ppl that contributed to this season was kwangsoo sehun and Sejeong

Honestly similar vibes, season 2 had good cases however it was not funny at all it was dead. Season 1 was hilarious.
Also if season 3 Is the last season why end it that way
