Can't relate at all. I find this show amazing, partly because it respects the audience's intelligence to be able…
Agreed!! This made me realize how intelligent this fandom is. The comment section is quite brainy and there are deep dives and discussion podcasts and blogs on this series that really help elevate the conversations. The series has so much more to offer than just fan girling.
"I can't stand bullying. I don't know if I should watch this"If you can't stand bullying, this drama is not for…
Do you even watch the series before commenting? Yes, there is bully but what this series clearly communicates is that bullying is unacceptable and is partly caused by self hate. The series is a coming of age tale about growth and redemption.
I remember reading hana yori dango when I was in middle school and once, I got hooked into Asian dramas I watched…
I am nodding along with you. I like that the script is revised to make the characters and their development more logical and relatable. E.g. Gorya is strong but also vulnerable. Thyme is hot headed and arrogant but is more innocent and more respectful of women here than other versions. I love this pacing too.
Great article. I think the Thai adaptation has become my favorite of all the adaptations I have seen (TW, JP, KR, CN). It handles contemporary social issues deftly, is more logical and realistic, has more relatable characters, is more respectful of women while managing to be so cute, funny and wholesome. Plus the cast is so hot and beautiful! Kudos to the director, actors, scriptwriter and the whole cast and crew.
Why is this series so good?? My son is around Thyme's age and the character and his chemistry with Gorya still make me feel things.
I am also in love with Gorya's family. Her dad is so funny and everyone is so wholesome. And I want my daughter to be as strong, kind and formidable as Gorya/Kaning/ Mira/Tia. Women power!!! πͺπ
Great show! And with an excellent empowering message to stand up againt bullies/injustices of all kind! πππ to all actors, script writers, director, and all involved.
Better if you watch on Youtube. GMMTV chalnnel. Very easily accessible with no scary ads. Also good to give the content creator the views they deserve.
Jung Jae Young really is an amazing actor. I highly recommend Castaway on the Moon and Welcome to Dongmakgol. Both are great movies and JJY is so good with comedy and emotions!
Wow, what a beautiful, haunting movie. Very well done. Gong Yoo just seemed so lonely and vulnerable and is trying hard for his daughter. He has a way to put the viewer into the movie himself and by doing so the viewers can be able to feel vulnerable and happy while looking at this film. Not only can he make a viewer feel different (aka: sensitive and sexy) while watching A man and A women he always acts well with Jeon Doβyeon the main character. Very sensual and emotional love scenes. The right thing to do can be so lonely and cold. This movie of forbidden love is highly recommended.
