I am pretty sure ML said his mother was the empress and the current empress is her sister (sounds like a typical toxic set up). He said that the current empress cares for him but not as much as his brother, her biological son! Pretty messed up.
My guess is she will try to put her son (rain god?) on the throne. The emperor said ML is heir to the throne and her facial expression didn’t seem at all satisfied. Wait and see!

Agreed and Ma Yue plays a lot of these roles..well I might add. I hate seeing her on the cast list because I know she will be evil😀😀

I still think FL is best paired with Zhang Zhehan. They had real chemistry.

I vehemently agree to the above. I love his character and Riley delivers it well. I think he has a massive agenda. He might even be the big baddie…or close to it. It looks as if he set FL up to be chased out of where they are currently.😱😬
