I can see why It had low ratings It's boring for the most parts beside the uncle. I feel the main couple was really…
heyyyyy, I don’t know if you followed through with the drama. BUT this this one of my all time FAV dramas so I wanted to answer. 1. by ep 17 (it’s actually really cute bc if you calculate it in like days it took like 2 weeks-ish for them to get together and like a month-ish to get married) 2. I don’t remember them breaking up at all 3. you know, I didn’t mind the brother liking the female lead so it was fine. 5. the 2ML and the 2FL do not try to break them up. 6. I can’t remember but what I really enjoyed about the drama was how it showed how love can look throughout ALL generations (the show had me bo-ho crying at the end) 7. the ending was sooooooooo good.
honestly if you want the feeling of a 50 episode family, romance, comedy, drama in 12 episodes then this is definitely the show to watch! I definitely enjoyed it for that reason. HOWEVER, watching this show in 2024, the show can definitely be infuriating. The perpetual cycle of being a mean mother in law, having foolish useless sons idolized for being a man, what does a practical marriage look like. All of those themes that were shown throughout the show got fustrating at a point. I am not saying don’t watch it, just be prepared to be telling the women in the show to pack up their things and go. The female and male lead were cute tho!
Honestly I agree with people that dislike the breakup because the FML is obviously breaking up for the SML. I think she understands her probability to keep the baby with shared custody with the ML like in the original and the SML doesn't like that idea.
While their break up isn't how I wanted it to go down (team Raphael here) because it leaves room for make ups and regret and makes it seem like Raphael is nothing but a second option, as a Jane the Virgin watcher and I am going to stick behind our FML with this decision.
I once heard a girl say that she wouldn't date somebody with a 9-5. I thought that statement was ridiculous but after after 16eps of this show, I understand it more.
While Hyun Jae has come a long way from his prior behavior towards the relationship with Mi Rae, especially in the way that he carries himself and address issues. I think the couples main issue is his job.
Not to say that this is wrong because every body gives and receives love in different ways, but Mi Rae is someone that needs a constant companion and Hyun Jae's job acts as a "block" towards that need. Hyun Jae is not able to be present in the moment sometimes because of his job and that just doesn't go down well with Mi Rae's love language. Moreover, Hyun Jae's personality is a double block towards her need.
And they already addressed how they are compatible because their opposites but I think if they are not able to discuss their different love languages, Hyun Jae's job will always be a stumbling block.
I have watched slap-kiss dramas (and that's a whole other topic) but this drama should just change that tag to abuse. Even understanding the rape culture in Thailand and putting it into perspective, I wasn't comfortable watching this. The male lead was so wicked to act on a lie with the intentions of helping his mentally deranged sister. (And DO NOT pity the sister) it was sickening because at the beginning he was like "I am not that guy", but when given the opportunity he literally was that guy. It was as if men in this show lost the ability to reason and problem solve. And yes I do admit that pretty privilege exists because if the male lead was handsome I would have not called him such bad words while watching the show. But the fact that the male lead was not handsome, then acted perverted in the name of helping. My dears, he looked like somebody people would cast to play the actual rapists in a show or somebody who would do it in real life. (Not that handsome men cannot do it STAY ALERT) I guess the original show has a less disturbing feel to it but the male lead literally in this show needs to be put to jail.
Have you completed this drama. Can I pick this up. I liked FATHER IS STRANGE, and the summary intrigued me. Is…
No problem, I love glorious day too. And if there is a show that you should wait on it should be smile you. Towards the middle you forget that you ever hated many characters. As for this show, girl the romance did not even come out at ep 30. But if your looking for an arrogant female lead there is that in be my dream family. Be my dream family also has many couples too.

You know I also watched my father is strange so I am assuming you have a strong mind and heart. If. .... how do I say this.... if you dont obsess over small niches, go ahead and watch the show.
I think I have small things I won't stand for and they appeared in the show. What is pleases, is funny, and cute to some viewers makes me want to do things that should not be spoken.
I stopped the show around ep 30 but it HAD POTENTIAL. ... SERIOUS POTENTIAL.
If you haven't already though, watch smile you, glorious day, five enough, love around, shut up family, be my dream family. In my opinion these are better over this.
