Kudos to Shao Peng's dad for firmly setting Sean's father straight on what it means to be a parent! What I love most about Shao Peng's and Sean's relationship is how open and communicative they are with one another and that they ARE NOT AFRAID to cry. If I ever go to Taiwan, I'd love to find that street corner in the final episode to just be where they were.
UPDATE: It helps to look at a map. I will be visiting Japan and then Vietnam in September/October 2025. It turns out that Taiwan is literally on the way. So, I will be at that street corner.

In the Behind the Scenes (available on Gagaoolala), it took them 3 takes to get the scene and by then even Raiden (Sean) was tearing up. You can hear his voice cracking a bit in the finished scene. If I remember correctly, Sean touched Shao Peng's throat in an earlier episode.
I can't help but compare the affection level between Hill and Ter (practically non-existent , even in private) and Taiwan's Stay By My Side, 2023. Those MLs in the latter were fierce and unapologetic in their affection, both publicly and privately. How refreshing to have boyfriends be boyfriends.
One common trope is for one partner to break up with the other partner without the latter having a say so, because "I want him to be happy." And yet, one series figured it out! In the 2024 Japanese series, Living With Him, Ryota realized he liked Tanaka Kazuhito after all but wasn't going to tell him because, "I want him to be happy without wasting his time with me." Fortunately, their friend, Haruna gave Ryota a much-needed dope slap, "You have no right to decide what makes Tanaka happy...You hope for that guy to be happy but you'll deny the happiness he wants?"
I admit it; I'm getting anxious about ep 12, given the preview. Let's us fervently hope that Zi Xang stays strong in his love for Shao Peng and not deny the happiness Shao Peng wants. They both deserve their happiness.

And Shiba Ryoma is totally unabashed in telling Haruto know how much he (Haruto) means to him (Ryoma), doing so with such raw emotion, including those tears.
Why isn't anyone mentioning Shiba Ryoma's hair (kudos to the hair stylists) and his eyelashes. I concur with all the postings regarding their communication. It is so refreshing!
