I haven’t finished (episode 29) but it is so slow. i don’t know how used to ancient dramas you are… but everything is slow, every conversation has those bullshit bows, your highness, more bows… I am so desperate to be done with it but when I watched 4 in a row my day was ruined. I guess this show works if you are super chill patient and watch only one a day and is fine taking 40days to be over. If you’re anxious like me you will freak out. Full disclosure: I am not used to ancient dramas, the only 2 I watched was the double (loved since beginning), my journey to you (hated until last 5 episodes).

i did some scrolling. episode 1 24:50 ji xing, lili and tu xiaomeng are all together and ji xing says that zeng di is “28, or 29 years old, not much older than us” episode 6 13:50 lili says she graduated university one year before ji xing episode 7 27:30 qiuzi says ji xing and yichen were together for 4 years episode 27 7:00 tu xiaomeng says her colleagues (did not specify college or high school) are either teachers or musicians, then lu linjia says he is 23 and she is 22. now i ran out of patience to search for if there was an actual scene that the 4 of them say were they met. about your question, I’m pretty sure at one point is mentioned how long she worked for the company then we could compare if it’s the same time she is together with yichen (4years) to see if they were together since college or after. i think the writers didn’t care too much about timelines lol whatever I’m still happy with the show ☺️

no i’m not saying ML is always right, i agree with you about her reasons and it is human to have overreactions. humans are not perfect and can act immature. she had that huge realization in germany, we grow up thinking “dreams come true” but reality hits. most companies close, bankrupt etc, the outcome of her company wasnt the dream (autonomy) but was somewhat way better than most companies outcomes
