This was better than the reviews led me to believe... until the end. The final ep was definitely rushed. They tried to tie up the story and obviously skipped over too much to do so.

I don't do well with 2nd hand embarrassment either, but give the japanese version another try. :) The main character is super campy, but there's no embarrassment. Everyone loves him and they mostly ignore his insane facial expressions.
