In the book, she was engaged to Wei Shao, but from what i've got from this episode, they've made it that she was engaged to his brother, and after he died and Xindu was taken over, she must have thought there were no benefits staying with the Wei family and left. Can't blame her for that.
But now she was saying that the elders chose Bogong but she actually loved Wei Shao

Yeah, I felt bad for their brotherly relationship, after the fight and for their grandmother. Also XQ, she felt as if she was at fault, even if she did nothing wrong

In the book, i liked the cousin character, sure he had his flaws, but he wasn't this creepy. If i remember correctly, in the book, they met at a store while she was looking for a Qin. He fell for her at first sight, and didn't know at the time that she was his sister-in-law, there was no bracelet hiding
