I've just finished this series and wow... I didn't know the plot was going to be that relevant for what's going on right now in the world. Political dramas like this requires from me extra brain function to follow the storyline. But it was totally worthy. Mainly, because it portrays the most interesting built-up female characters I've found in a kdrama in years. Yes! We need female leads (and leaders) like them 👏👏👏
I didn't like Busted, to be honest. I thought Crime Scene has done it better (because I have watched the first…
Thanks for your insights, bayanoh. With your message I realize that this show can be liked by people fond of this kind of mystery-solving cases. Before I got your advice, I actually tried to watch the third episode and I have the same strong reaction of “uh-uh…no, I can’t”. I guess I cannot stand their acting (a pity that only one of the regular cast is a real actor), it all feels fake and tacky to me. Maybe I prefer shows linear or not where they pretend to be detectives and not acting like this. But I’m glad you’re enjoying it! Btw, a shout out to the two females of Busted, who definitely had an IQ higher than what you mentioned ;)
Unbearably boring! 🙈 How can this be so bad? I don't understand... I'm a fan of shows like Busted, Agents of mistery and so forth... so I thought it'd be alike, or at least a liiiittle bit entertaining. But this show is so dragging and stagnant. After 15 min of watching I was pinning myself in my seat saying, "it's going to improve", "they are warming up"... but after skipping huge chunks for 2 episodes, they didn't! 🥶 I feel so disappointed. If someone can actually bare this show, kuddos to you 🙌
Loved every bit of it. If someone knows about some Japanese competitions or survival shows like this, please recommend! (I offer my first-ever review in exchange lol). I only get to watch Japanese dating shows in my country... and this spirit is what I need :)
You're not alone Kim Nam Gil I'd shoot those bullies as well if I were in that situation with a gun in my hands…
His first comment in this article: "When you see the villains in the drama, you can't help but think, 'I'd just shoot them in one shot.' But this isn't a drama that justifies personal revenge."
Wow, it was so binge-watchable. The amazing thing is that it didn’t use cheap cliffhangers at the end of the episodes; I just kept watching because it was so good! This is not my kind of genre at all, but I’m so glad I gave it a shot because from the first moment onwards it grabbed my attention like no other. Each episode has a different length and maybe that’s why I’ve been on the edge of my sit, because never felt that it was dragging.
Finally a series that mentions the rottenness of Korean society (poor work contracts, real state scams, bullying at school, work harassment, mental health problems due to the societal pressure and so forth) with an original premise.
I’m in awe that this is the first series by the director/screenwriter! Maybe that’s why some of the cinematography seemed so unique and refreshing.
I’m a sensitive person and even though I had to take my gaze off the TV a lot of times- it’s awfully harsh sometimes- I felt like I was watching something meaningful (with a powerful message behind). Honestly, I wish it was not the end and could keep watching it.
My boy Kim Dong-hyun is back at it again! It's going to be a slightly unpleasant watch because of Lee Seung-i,…
Oh super interesting your comment about Lee Seung-i, would you mind to explain why do you find him slightly unpleasant? :) Everybody seems to love him, but I cannot stand his lack of integrity and how he opposed to all the human values I cherish the most. I've just finished this show and I should have skipped parts like you lol.
I watched years ago the American remake (only the first season). I knew it was based on another country’s drama, only to find out about this a few days ago: The original was Korean! I’ve binge-watched it like a mad-woman and I’m in AWE. Although there are things that could be better (still cringing about how violence was -and still is- normalized in South Korea; autism isn’t something that one can/needs to “overcome”…), how could Americans could get rid of the whole soul of the show. Not even on purpose they could have ripped out the amazing emotional journey of ALL the characters like they did.
I wasn’t expecting much, especially being an “old” show, but wow, just wow! The screenwriter did a superb job with this heartfelt storytelling and the two main characters melted my heart with the beauty of their roles and the awesomeness of their performances.
This is why I came to Kdramaland a few years ago and I stayed. Awesome work.
okay pleaseeeee why did no. 222 & 333 even die??? I so wanted them to be on good terms again with their baby😭…
I wouldn't wish for my worst enemy to be with someone like him. (I spoke more about it in the discussion topic that I started). Thanks God the director was clever enough to protray the reality of some relationships: awful guys stay awful till the end, because love changes nobody! I really loved that 222 didn't fall for his bullsh*t!! Go girl! :)
While I genuinely think even the director and its main writer believe that there should only be Season 1, I think…
Thanks for sharing the link (a joy to read!) and for deliver your opinion with so much respect :) I think that you'd throughly enjoy to watch all episodes of the seasons reminding for you, in case you someday feel like giving it a chance. For me it was totally worth it :)
