I read the novel and have to say that I really can't see that much of a similarity to the drama.
While I liked the novel a lot I feel that the drama is really lacking everywhere not only the story was changed a lot but also the character of zhou yao hua who is decribed as a much "colder" and maturer kind of person who only shows little emotions and only in front of Liu yu sheng.
Not to mention that the love is totally lacking. U know in the novel they do A B and C but here is nothing of that :o
Well whatever, just enjoy ;)
I watches 19 episodes and I can say that I seriously gave it a try before dropping it.

Ta hwan annoys me the most he's such a wimp always behaving like a 3 year old, selfish, snotty brat. I ABSOLUTELY HATE HIS ROLE. Seriously he annoys me more than any of those evil characters!!
I felt like Nyan was okay but even she is getting on my nerves cause she seems to just comply with everything that snotty hwan does, only lashing out at him ONCE, freaking ONCE in those 19 epa i watched.
Maaaaan i really can't take it anymore and knowing that it won't get better I can't preserve.. i really tried, but nope!
Uuh okay.. don't know what to say. I don't want to drop it cause the plot seems rather promising but honestly that forced acting which creates these awkward moments $@#!/$# and the camera just won't move away from those scenes !!
I will hang in there in hope that the acting will get better and that the plot will unfold it's potential.

I really liked this drama and finished it in 1 go (i have veerry dark circles under my eyes now...) I liked Ruoxis personality a lot especially in the first few episodes, i also loved her relationship with the 13th prince but i kinda grew to dislike her a little bit as time went by cause she changed too much for my taste..u know what i mean? Well whatever....
Ah and I was very satisfied that she died in the embrace of the 14th prince thehe. would have loved if they'd been the main couple or something... well i guess i would have liked anyone but the 8th or 4th prince as her partner.

Throughout the whole drama I felt fuc*** pissed of at everybody for pretending to be oh so holy and rightous while killing dozens of ppl and shoving all the responsibility on ourmain lead. maaaan that really made me mad, why not just leave her alone she was the purest person of them all and had to endure everything as if she was the cause of it...pure torture not only for her but akso for me who had to watch this damn drama -.- and not to mention that ass bai zi hua or what he was called. Not even worth her love i tell ya -..-
