Yeah, the drama toned down his evilness a lot. He’s babygirl in comparison to the novel. I get that the book version wouldn’t be acceptable to modern audiences and couldn’t make it past censorship. But changing his character so much leads to the problem that Susu‘s hate for him is less relatable.
It works better in the novel because he really is killing people right and left and does horrible things to Susu. In the novel he needs a thorough redemption arc, in the drama he just needs a good hug 😭

Yes, she’s been lying to the CEO about meeting with SEP two times already and now this. She keeps protecting him from the CEO and his jealousy/anger. Also, she downplayed the CEO’s assault in front of him, because she probably knew he would go after the CEO immediately and get himself in danger.
It seems they are building up to a final confrontation between CEO and SEP. When all this comes out, it would be the ultimate betrayal in the CEO’s eyes. And if Rael had to choose between those two, she’ll choose the only family she has left. I’m sure she’d even kill him in order to protect Eunpyeong. That may be how she finally realizes her true feelings.

Sora even says that he explicitly wanted Gediks and that was the reason her family acquired it with bloodshed. He’s not only turned a blind eye once, but three times already. He knew about Rael’s mother’s murder, about that singer he was involved with who was murdered and that last hostess he was rumored to have an affair with. His signature was right next to Rael’s fathers on that bloodstained contract. They all died because of him and he feigned ignorance each time.

And even now, he’s only willing to “stand up”, because Eunpyeong got to him with his talk about love being about sacrifice and that he should pay the price. Seeing him care for Rael made him react. If you look closely, for a while now he’s been mainly driven by his jealousy of EP.

All of that is on top of the fact that he assaulted her three times already and kept guilt-tripping her. There’s no way he gets a happy ending in this story. He will die given all the foreshadowing and he’ll likely fall/jump off that building from episode 1.

The cast repeatedly said that SEP is a one-woman man, so I don’t think we can possibly see him with someone else. Also, Rael wouldn’t allow that. Haha. Worst case it’s gonna be a shower scene… but let Rael get a peek please 🫣

Hahaha I saw the same on Twitter and started obsessing over it. It has to be with Rael. They are slowly building up their relationship and it would be beautiful to see her get intimate with someone she actually likes for once. She’s literally never even kissed a boy she liked, she only ever used her body as a weapon. So some sort of intimate scene for them would be a great way for her to reclaim her sensuality.

They are slowly and very naturally building up Raels and Eun-pyeong‘s relationship as a contrast to all her other relationships in which she is objectified and sexualized. It’s very important that he gives her all the time she needs to feel secure enough to approach him.
But she will, for sure. Their chemistry is sizzling with those stares and sharing all their secrets. Episode 8 made it pretty clear that they are actually the main romance here and I love their dynamic so much!

Yup! Plus the OST and all… it is ultimately their story. The CEO will most likely die anyways, he has tragedy written all over his face and I doubt he’s as innocent as they are trying to make us believe…

Completely agree with you! Especially the last part. Though I do think they have a fair chance at being endgame still. It’s only the third episode, we should expect a lot of twists and turns and we don’t even know why she chose the CEO for her revenge yet…
