It depends how long the screenwriters extended his role according to the novel readers here his character didn't make much of an appearance who turned out to be crippled & possibly dead overall they were supposed to go on for 145 days which is 4-5 months, someone below hinted that they will probably wrap-up between March-April as for Ding Yuxi he might wrap-up early but who knows we just have to stay updated on his recent posts

There were numerous rumors popping up but of course nothing is official we still have wait for his studio to announce his next project, whatever genre he wants to do whether it has romance or not that will be his decision after he finishes filming
