Honestly that's a tough question for me there are so many handsome, talented actors but it also depends on their busy schedules whether they are available or not so it's very hard to choose which one, I usually just go w/ the flow & wait for the production team to choose whoever they think fits the role the most imo 🤔
Since there is no official announcement from Tencent yet if Wang Hedi & Meng Ziyi actually take on this project not that I have anything against their acting skills even tho I somewhat disagree based on the description of the characters in the novel there's really nothing we can do sadly I guess it is what it is based on the production team's decision *sigh*
This drama will be a huge hit if the director casts Bai Lu & Dylan wang, they have a sweet chemistry 🥰
While I do agree they both have amazing chemistry together Bai Lu stated in an interview once she comes back from her long break she will only do modern dramas for the time being to focus more on her health so there's no way she will take on this project.

It depends currently his main focus is filming a movie & drama for time being as for what will his next projects will be we will eventually find out when his studio posts his schedule online for every month on his Weibo account or those Twitter & Facebook fanpages.
