I got to the part where they already became husband & wife as Shen Xihe finally confessed her feelings to Xiao Huayong to where they wanted to discuss having a child together despite him being poisoned but then the scheming behind palace doors kind of made me a little bored/lose interest as it kept dragging on I know it's one of the main parts of the story not that it isn't good or anything after all FL is very intelligent she doesn't back down from being bullied by anyone she gets her revenge no matter the circumstances she comes across beyond my expectations which impressed me very much I love how Xiao Huayong secretly protects her but then he knows when to interfere or back out sometimes as she wants to fight her own battles instead of relying on him too much, I mostly felt sympathy for Bu Shulin who is identified as a male in public but had to hide her female gender from almost everyone including His Majesty for her family's status even when she found out she accidentally got pregnant after she got drunk & slept w/ Cui Jinbai especially Xue Jinqiao who was also bullied while nearly left for dead from her own blood relatives they both had gone thru hardships of their own it was π in my pov as I feel for them a lot. As for Xiao Changqing even tho he doesn't appear much from the π I also mostly felt sympathy for what he went thru when he lost his beloved he is somewhat alone even tho he has his brother Xiao Changying around him but I was still sad for him either way such a rare, loyal man who has been always devoted to his deceased wife he never fell in love w/ anyone else or remarried for a lifetime made me cry for him bc he is such a devoted character imo π
Exactly you've read my mind as I was reading the π I got confused by all names of the characters of who's playing who I feel like I'm going crazy, the fact that it is more than 800 chapters I will say after reading this it is very addicting but I had to put it on a pause for now since I wanted to read other π π Also I agree w/ u on how the screenwriters will change some things from the π which is what they always do anyway π€
I actually have no idea I really wish I knew but I don't wanna give u a wrong answer either so we probably have to wait for the staff to add the rest of the characters when they get the chance
