I don’t think it’s going to end up as a love triangle this year, though. Junseong literally told the others off behind the scenes, and according to the others- especially Seonwoo- they were quite scared by how aggressive he could get when it came to Seongho, lol.

Hyunjun, on the other hand, has been very passive and nonchalant so far. It’s hard to read him and tell if he’s interested in anyone yet. That might just be his personality, though.

Yep. They’re the only couple still together. They’re a rare and special case—fell in love in less than seven days and are still going strong!

Sunwook bringing the old date card and the Pikachu pajamas because he knows Hyunjun is obsessed with Pikachu… I don’t know if it’s a wise move or if it just seems desperate, but it’s definitely unfair to Yunjae, who’s getting to know Hyunjun for the first time.

Obviously, Sunwook has been very interested in Hyunjun since the first shoot, and they even had that date together. I wonder why they didn’t end up together, though. It must be that Hyunjun either liked someone else more or just wasn’t that interested in Sunwook enough to choose him in the end.

Jaeseung & Seongmin from season 3 lasted about a year after the show I think?

Those are very reassuring words. I’ll trust you and hope you’re right. It’s a shame they’ve had so few on-screen moments so far, though. And that they cut the ‘night conversation’ where they got closer…

I’m hoping for a change in the later episodes (although we’re almost halfway through already lol).

Shipping Hyunjun × Yunjae isn’t looking so good right now lol. How they’ll go from where they are right now to holding hands in an intimate setting seems like a big (huge) stretch. Either something happens in a later episode that changes things between them, or I’m starting to believe the hand-holding scene might have a negative/serious tone.

Yes but they're all very upfront with the fact that they already know eachother so I don’t see the problem here. And so far they're all very likeable and it’s a fun watch.

Yes, I watched their reaction as well. They looked quite giddy and excited while watching the Hyunjun & Yunjae scenes… let’s hope it means something.

Although we only have that one clip of them in the teasers (that we know of), I feel like it’s such a meaningful clip compared to all the other scenes of them on dates with other people, etc. Holding hands while alone together in a dimly lit room. To me, it looks like quiet, intimate intimacy. I mean, to get to the point where they’re so naturally holding hands like that, they must have developed some kind of comfortable emotional bond, right?

Even if they don’t go on any dates outside of the house (that we know of — the production might not show everything in the teasers, of course), they can still develop their relationship at home just fine.

I mean, a lot of people (including me) would be disappointed if they don’t end up being endgame.
But it’s a dating show, so what can you do — things can change drastically from one ep to another. In Season 2 I shipped Junseong & Seongho from the very first episode, and thankfully that turned out to be a massive success.
Hoping for the same here with Hyunjun & Yunjae...

That’s what I was thinking, lol. And it’s not like a “messing around / being playful” kind of hand-holding either — it looks quite… romantic? Emotional? And natural, like it’s not their first time doing it. And it feels like these are two people who just don’t do this kind of physical contact easily or with just anyone.

Watch it turn out to be them talking about choosing other people or something, lol.

Interesting! Hyunjun will definitely be busy with all these dates. We also know that Yunjae will go on a date with Jaeha at some point. I have a feeling the exes might get back together, though. And if not, I feel like they’ll leave the show without a partner. I don’t think they’ll get with anyone else, since everything is still so raw for them.

I hope you’re right, because I really like Hyunjun and Yunjae together. The chess scene also seems to take place in the later half of the show (after they’ve changed rooms), since they’re in one of the triple rooms. So I guess one or both of them are staying there later on.

We do know that Hyunjun will go on a date with Sunwook at some point, though, and Sunwook seems pretty set on Hyunjun right now. The question is whether he’ll win Hyunjun over—and whether they’d actually be a good match, seeing as Sunwook is more extroverted, which might be a bit too much for Hyunjun.

They definitely are. You can even see Yunjae’s face come into frame for just a split second. The question is whether it’s a happy moment or a serious one. It’s also the only clip of them together in all of the teasers lol.

Junseong & Seongho managed it with days to spare lol. But they’re a special case—still together three years later.

It’s only been two episodes and I’m already feeling protective of Yunjae. He’s just so pure and sweet. 😌
