It's not like I actually care about the story but the writer seems to be promoting assualt, rape and toxic relationships which will obviously bother people and affect the rating because that's how it works. If the writer cared much about the rating they wouldn't do this much. A lot of people are watching this, it's popular, they're making their money (primary goal).

The only thing keeping me going with this drama is because I adore Mu Ren so much and I love Li Cheng x Mu Ren couple. Lately I've been skipping the whole scenes with Yong jie, Xing Si and their family. I find it very disgusting how the writer could include rape, assault, manipulation and sociopathic behaviors and still justify it with lame supposedly sad backstory. I just realized how angry I am writing this and how angry I am when Yong Jie appears on my screen!
