I really enjoyed this article. Your reviews were really funny, and I respect your analysis on all the dramas, while I may not agree with all them. Looking forward to more articles from you :D
Oh yeah one thing confused me. In episode 14 at 37min 17sec in Sang Mi whispers to Dong Cheol "five five four"…
I think it was a translation error because in the next ep, ep 15 (1:39) in the beginning when it shows what happened in the previous ep the previous translated 554, now mouthed clearly and translated as Hong So Rin, the reporter name.
While this drama did not meet my expectations, I am happy I watched it because I found some new amazing actors (Seo Ye Ji and Woo Do Hwan) that I am excited to watch in other films. Also, guys don't expect a romance trope in this drama, it doesn't need one and it's better without one. The bromance was cool and while everyone fav may be Dong Chol, I just really had a soft spot for Man Hee, even though he wasn't the leader of the group, he was so kind and mature in a hidden way. My other fav, was Joon Go, the gangster or the "dog" even though he doesn't have that many lines, everytime he spoke, he left you wanting to know more about him.
I just finished this drama but I didn't feel wowed because it just feels like this drama did the bare minimum in exploring such a disturbing concept of being in a cult. But I guess I should have seen that coming based on the synopsis. This drama took the easy route and focused on Sang-mi being forced into the cult and her journey of escaping the cult and while she did an amazing job throughout the drama, it wasn't that original of a story. Ms. Kang who chose to join the "cult" because she obviously didn't believe it was a cult, story arch could have easily been a more interesting and an original arch for a drama because her character just had so much potential but it was superficially explored. The drama was very predictable and cliche despite it treading a new storyline like religious cults. Also, I expected some vein-popping thriller, but it was ok even though the eerie feeling of such situation remained. While the psychosis of the members was portrayed very well, especially through Sang Mi's father, the cult leader's character was really half empty for such an important character.
I put this on hold for almost a year and now I can't even remember why I kept it on hold. I stopped at ep 10. Anyone who completed IT what did you like about the drama?
wow stopped at ep 46, put it on hold for almost 2 years should I even bother picking this up. I remember it being fun until everyone started pissing me off but that was like around the 30s. Ohhhhh I can't remember why I put it on hold in the first place and not drop it? Can someone refresh my memories?
I'm about to be real corny, but this drama was sweet as honey. Give it a try, it's a nice watch, it's not perfect, yet not dull. You can't really hate it :)
They really dragged this season, had it on hold for almost a year. I love the cast, couldn't skip the episode, and eventually came back to finish it. I don't know if I am coming back for s3 if it's this long. But I still might because I love these girls.
This was so good, it's something you can watch if you want to brighten up your day. I really think Nam Goong Min and Lee Jun Ho must have had so much fun filming this. I really loved the cast of this drama!
This man is a great actor and I believe he can really take on any role. His smirk can really be used for good or evil. Even though I was scarred by him in Empress ki, he was so cute in Fantastic^^
